We are seeking a Genomic Application Scientist enthusiastic at analyzing exciting large-scale genomic data, annotating vast genetic variants with state-of-the-art databases, working with our cutting-edge high performance computing platform, and interpreting results for personalized and accurate clinical diagnostic purpose. You will work with our highly professional teams in both science and engineering to deliver the best genomic interpretation to the field.

Requirements

Especially, you will join a development team working to tackle some of the hardest problems in the areas of secondary and tertiary analysis of DNA, RNA, and cancer data, and more.

As a member of technical staff, Customer Success / Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing outstanding support to Bina’s customers. You’ll need to learn the product quickly and provide front-line support to users in the field. In addition to the direct customer interaction, you’ll help to define, document, and develop the support processes, as well as train new customers and help with pre- and post-sales activity. As you become more familiar with the product, you will have the opportunity to progress to second- and third-line support, as well as to help in growing the support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are interested in bringing outstanding technical skills and customer support practices to the burgeoning field of genomics.

Responsibilities

  • Handling level 1‒2 support cases, working directly with Bina’s customers on pre-sales, post-sales, support, and training

UI Engineer

As a member of technical staff, UI Engineer, you will be joining a development team tackling a number of hard problems in data analysis software for next-generation sequencing. You will bring outstanding UI expertise to the team to design and implement UI and front-end software and deliver best-in-class user experience for scientific workflows. You will work using a JavaScript/Angular framework, HTML, CSS, and general UI design principles to provide workflows for secondary and tertiary analysis of WGS (Whole Genome Sequencing), WES (Whole Exome Sequencing), RNASeq, cancer data, and more.

  • Design and implement key UI components, integrating to a REST API

You will implement and test cutting-edge, distributed, scale-out next-generation sequencing data analysis software, which is a pillar for the growing infrastructure needed to understand the human genome with speed, scale, and accuracy. Especially, you will bring technical leadership, experience, and mentorship to our team. You will be a part of our development team working on developing and testing solutions to hard problems in a number of areas including the analysis.

  • Own all aspects of quality testing and delivery of Bina’s products
  • Implement an end-to-end framework for running automated integration tests and quality dashboards

Software Engineer

Particular areas you might be working in:

Infrastructure/Platform - Build the distributed infrastructure for Bina’s public and private cloud platform to enable aggregation, storage and computation on petabytes of genomic data.

Applications -Work with Bioinformaticians and Biologists to create the most efficient and production-grade applications to build genomic analysis tools on top of the Bina Platform.

Regional Sales Director, East Coast

Bina Technologies is seeking a Director, Regional Sales (East Coast) to establish and lead a Regional Sales Team focused on meeting or exceeding the sales goals for the Bina Genomic Analysis Platform on the east coast of the United States. This senior role encompasses the creation and implementation of regional and territory business plans as well as the selection, hiring, training, development, and management of Sales Managers within the defined geographic Region.

The Director will be responsible for making the day-to-day decisions required to manage the business -- including deploying resources, allocating costs, and directing business activities. They must possess a deep knowledge of Genomics and Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) technologies including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), market and competitive intelligence, and be able to identify key issues and develop effective solutions that take into consideration strategic objectives, resource constraints and organizational values.

This is a front line sales management / leadership position covering a large geographical territory and will require significant business travel to meet current and future customers and to work with Sales Managers in their assigned territories. Preferred locations are Boston, Washington DC or NYC.

Education and Required Experience

  • A minimum of 10-years’ experience in a Life Sciences / Genomics commercial environment as a sales professional and sales manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical field required; MBA preferred. Graduate degree a plus
  • Deep and current domain knowledge of Genomics / NGS / Bioinformatics is required; Experience selling NGS instruments, software and/or services is preferred
  • Experience within complex selling environments is required
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, hiring developing and retaining talent is required
  • Advanced presentation skills, administrative skills and advanced written / oral communication skills are all necessary
  • Ability to work effectively from a remote location with minimal supervision is required

Accounting Manager

Job Description

  • Management of the Accounts Payable system from coding and recording of invoices through the payment of the vendors/service providers.
  • Invoicing/recording all sales and managing the collection of amounts due to the company.
  • Proper recording of all asset purchase and the related depreciation of those assets.
  • Complete key account and bank reconciliations, consistent with standard accounting practices.
  • Management of the semi-monthly employee payroll, proper maintenance of the payroll records and recording all transactions correctly in the General Ledger.
  • Completions of financial statements on a timely basis in accordance with Generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Provide periodic financial analyses, transaction summaries and reports to Bina Management to facilitate an understanding of specific financial information.
  • Assist in producing comparisons of actual to projected results.

Reporting Relationship/Hours

  • The position reports directly to the CFO, and will start as four days per week and is expected to move to full time, commensurate with the growth of the business.
