Senior Computational Biologist

Cancer Genomic Analysis

You will develop, extend and refine methods for the analysis of cancer genomes. This will include the accurate identification of somatic mutations on all scales - SNVs, indels, structural variations and chromosomal rearrangements - from tumor and matched tumor-normal sequence data. You will work on integrating sequence data from DNA and RNA with relevant functional annotation to facilitate the comprehensive interpretation of cancer genomes. You will also work on developing methods to analyze large cohorts of cancer genomes to search for shared genetic patterns that correlate with the effectiveness of therapeutics or with clinical prognoses.

Algorithms for Genomic Data Analysis

You will be developing algorithms for the analysis of large-scale DNA and RNA sequence data sets, drawing on your knowledge of data mining, statistical learning methods, and graph-based algorithms. Your work will result in methods for the detection and scoring of genetic variations. You will also work on developing methods to analyze large sets of genomes to aggregate statistics and to search for shared genetic patterns that correlate with traits of medical interest.

Regional Sales Director, East Coast

Bina Technologies is seeking a Director, Regional Sales (East Coast) to establish and lead a Regional Sales Team focused on meeting or exceeding the sales goals for the Bina Genomic Analysis Platform on the east coast of the United States. This senior role encompasses the creation and implementation of regional and territory business plans as well as the selection, hiring, training, development, and management of Sales Managers within the defined geographic Region.

The Director will be responsible for making the day-to-day decisions required to manage the business -- including deploying resources, allocating costs, and directing business activities. They must possess a deep knowledge of Genomics and Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) technologies including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), market and competitive intelligence, and be able to identify key issues and develop effective solutions that take into consideration strategic objectives, resource constraints and organizational values.

This is a front line sales management / leadership position covering a large geographical territory and will require significant business travel to meet current and future customers and to work with Sales Managers in their assigned territories. Preferred locations are Boston, Washington DC or NYC.

Education and Required Experience

  • A minimum of 10-years’ experience in a Life Sciences / Genomics commercial environment as a sales professional and sales manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical field required; MBA preferred. Graduate degree a plus
  • Deep and current domain knowledge of Genomics / NGS / Bioinformatics is required; Experience selling NGS instruments, software and/or services is preferred

Senior Applications Support Scientist

Bina Technologies is seeking a Senior Applications Support Scientist to work closely with our rapidly growing customer base using the Bina Genomic Analysis Platform for the analysis of NGS datasets. This person will be a primary interface to our rapidly growing customer base including scientific collaborators, customers and prospects. They will work closely with the Development team to come up to speed on al Bina products and services and serve as a key conduit of customer suggestions back into the Development team. They will also work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to help ensure a positive customer experience, both pre-sales and post-sales. They must possess a deep knowledge of Genomics and Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) technologies and bioinformatics, including the ability to understand, interpret and troubleshoot issues found in customer datasets.

Education and Required Experience

  • A Ph.D., M.S, or B.S. with at least 3 years relevant lab experience in molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics or related field.
  • Deep and current domain knowledge of Genomics / NGS / Bioinformatics is required; Experience supporting NGS instruments, software and/or services is preferred
  • Practical Sequencing and/or NGS data analysis experience is desirable
  • Linux system administrator, shell scripting, and python experience strongly preferred

Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

You will extend and refine pipelines for the analysis of NGS data. Applications will include whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing, RNA-Seq and cancer genome analysis, along with functional annotation of the results. You will benchmark these pipelines and validate improvements using standard data sets and statistical analysis. Jointly with our software engineers, you will incorporate new methods and build new capabilities for downstream analysis within the Bina platform.
